Practice Spotlight Series: Employment Law and COVID19

Our second Spotlight Series event will be held on May 6, 2020 at 12:30 pm PST and will feature Usama Kahf, partner at Fisher Phillips. Mr. Kahf will address the significant and growing impact that COVID-19 has had on the workplace. As a result of which, businesses now must balance a number of complex issues to effectively manage workplace issues, including: the Families First COVID-19 Response Act (FFCRA), the CARES Act, shelter-in-place ordinances, paid sick leave laws, unemployment insurance, notice requirements, managing a remote workforce, and many of the fast-paced developments at the federal, state, and local levels. Employers need to know what their responsibilities are, what resources they have available to them, and what approaches they can recommend.
